With Guild taste but a Dearmond budget this season, I had to jump on this M75T when it appeared on CL at $275.
Haven't had a chance to put it through it's paces yet as I just got it back from setup, but I've always wanted one because I think they look cool. 8)

They don't just look cool. Best of the Dearmonds IMO. Worthy pickups.

Great guitar for the money. If you find that it consistently gets out of tune while playing, replace the original bridge with a roller bridge. I did and it made a world of difference. The one from Stewart Mac are pretty good and wont break the bank.

Thanks mad dog, and Mac: I appreciate the tip. Not sure how much of a tuning problem I'll have as the strings are still new. I did notice that moving the Digsby rocks the whole bridge back and forth, including the posts. I can see how a roller bridge would make a nice improvement.

Zulu:

Once I got a graphtec nut in there, with the right sized slots for my .11s, that was the end of any tuning problems. It shouldn't work as well as it does ... pretty steep drop off the back of the bridge, with strings touching the back edge. I tried elevating the entire Digsby unit. No improvement. With a new nut - and nut sauce on all contact points - worked perfectly.

I went the Stew-Mac rollerbridge route with the graphtech nut and some planetwave locking tuners that I had sitting around. No tuning problems at all...

There's a similar DeArmond (sunburst) being sold here in Finland for 500e. I've been considering it but the price seems a bit high don't you think? I've heard the 2k pups are nice but what is the reason for their good reputation? And since I've never played one, could you give me some info about it?

Kinda beefy at 4.5 Kilos. Pups are us made, single coils that are wired for humbucking. Mine is blue sparkle with a graphite nut, locking tuners and roller bridge. Go play it and if you like it, give me a pm. 500 euros is a little steep. I've got mine for sale and I'll ask less than I did.
