That's the first time I have ever seen a Bluesbird next to a Les Paul.

I know this is the Guild forum, but I'll take the Les Paul any day. That upper cutaway horn sticking out on the Bluesbird kills it for me.

Wonder why Guild don’t inlay all the way up the neck in their electric guitars?

OK, so "six string solid body electric S series guitars" then, so no lawyers get confused and think I was talking about basses or acoustics or hollow bodies/semi-hollows/archtops, dobros, resonators, or anything else they may have produced, etc.!!😂🤣

S300s have dots all the way up to the 24th fret. :)

Ok :”trap/split-diamond, square, and rectangle inlays”😂

BTW, that’s the S-300 I would get. Tics all the boxes!!

personally I prefer the Guild S-100/90/50 over any Gibson SG i've picked up- but that is just me. the Guild BB vs. Gibson LP I think they are too different to really make a fair comparisson.
A Gibson 339 vs. Guild BB i think would
be a much more fair comparisson. Obviously of those 2, one is an 18 fretter and one is a 16er so for me that would be the biggest decision. Would probably wind up with one of each (and a Les Paul!) if i really had the itch. Currently I own a Guild Nightingale, Guild SF-4, Gibson Melody Maker LP and Gibson LP Jr, so I probably don't have that itch right now. for sure the 339 is the same size as a BB, semi-hollow and 18 frets. where the BB is chambered and 16 frets.
I would definitely take a SF-4 over a 335 (but again that is just me)..first world thread for sure!

That's me, too. For me, many of SGs I've played have necks that just feel flimsy, like they need more support or something. My '90s S-100 neck does not feel like that at all.

I had a GOTW SG with P90s that I wish I hadn’t sold. It had a nice fat neck that came with the side effect of being a monster neck diver.

Dark Burst is awesome
Dark Burst on that top is 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! I just scored this on reverb. Yours looks awesome too. The only thing on the 90's and 00's Bluesbird I wish was different would be the use of the large headstock like on the S100.
