From this thread: https://letstalkguild.com/ltg/index.php?threads/i-bought-a-pretty-old-thing.211984/

Guitar could be called mint except for the fact that the entire thing is a bit yellow, but it’s uniformly yellow so it’s all good. :)

The guitar case had Japanese newspaper as packing material so I think Hans nailed his comment in the other thread about the case.

Very nice! Does it have a skinny neck?

BTW the cord in the pic is ugly because it's an original Guild cord from the '70s (I think) that happened to have already been moved to the new house. :)

That’s a great guild amp too. Real big.

I haven't measured, but it's right where I'd like it to be which is very similar in feel to my original '79 S300.
Excellent! I'm sure that means it will get a lot of play time (especially through the awesome Maverick amp). :)

Great match with the Maverick. That just exudes workhorse guitar vibes -- the one you end up picking up all the time. Happy to hear the neck profile works for you.

Thanks! No pics for a while since I'm moving. Forever (it seams).

As for the size question, I have no idea. Perhaps someone else can help?

I think the bodies are the same size but that is based upon vague memories. It also helps to specify which bass since the Starfire basses of the 60's and 70's had different headstock dimensions and the body thickness is different between the 60/70's and the 90's reissue and the GSR Starfire bass isn't even the same shape. But I do think that the body dimensions of a Starfire guitar (a double cutaway) and a Starfire bass from the same time period do have the same body dimensions.

One more thing to figure out at the Taylor Ham/Pork Roll Guildfest when it happens.
