A D-40 was missing in my Guild collection up to now. After considering Westerly and Hoboken (both not too often up for sale here in Germany ) I found this sunburst Tacoma. And after reading many very positive reviews here on LTG and elsewhere I bought it. Its Adirondack top and bracing, awesome binding, my favorite Grover tuners make for an awesome Dreadnought guitar. Of course it came with its original case. I bought it from a guy living in Austria close to the border to Germany, and as I spent the weekend there anyway, I could test-play it and collect it. The seller, an American, wanted a smaller guitar.

Very good condition throughout.

A great guitar - I love it and I know once again why Guild guitars are superb . See pictures

I believe they didn't start using Adirondack until Tacoma and on through New Hartford. But only the Bluegrass Special and Bluegrass Jubilee, AFAIK. Someone will be along to correct me momentarily. But not before Tacoma, no.
Makes sense. I know my NH F47M has an Adi top. Love it.
