I've owned three DV52s, still have two of them. Two were with herringbone trim / rosette, one satin, one glossy. The third is with the abalone rosette and is glossy.

Which two do you still have? May A/B the DV52 and D55. Both are wonderful guitars.

Yes, it is a satin finish. The label says DV52 NTS and you are correct, I really like it.

Any shinny parts on it? I have four with the satin finishes and try to cover, like covering up my legs when I'm in shorts and playing with a sleeve on my arm.

No shinny parts on it, yet. I wear long sleeve cotton shirt when I play any of my guitars - and I keep one guitar in our living room all time. Also, wipe each guitar down with an old fashion 100% cotton baby diaper. Usually, rotate them after couple days but the DV52 getting more playing time. Maybe just being new and "honeymoon" period.
