That looks in great condition.

A question on DV52 model which is probably covered in a different thread that I cant find.

What model is the body shape based upon?
Is it a D50?

Thanks.

From my research, the DV52 was designed from the D50 and D55 so, "yes." A little more fancy than a D50 and a little less than D55. And I think the D50 took on some of the D52's fanciness after production stopped on DV52. I would hate to take a blindfold test and have to identify them by sound.
This one has a beautiful sound and sustain to spare.

Man that’s a beauty...love the creamy color of the binding and the fat ass frets, it looks a D55. Play it like you stole it.

The DV52 is standard dreadnaught shape, like the other D prefix models Guild made, including the D50 and D55. Aside from the external differences (the rosette, the binding, etc.), my understanding is that the way the braces were finished is what distinguishes the guitar from others in the D series.

I'm crazy about the guitars myself -- if I had to recommend an affordable vintage Guild to a first-time guitar owner, the DV52 would top of the list.

Super super nice young man I bought it from. Really, really enjoyed meeting him. He was the second owner and had taken excellent care of it.

Is That satin finish? I thought they were only on the early ones with the herringbone sound hole. BTW I think your going to like it, I had a neck reset on mine a couple of years ago.

Very nice.

I just got one a few weeks ago but haven't had much time to play it...actually forgot where I hid it from da boss.

I have a buddy coming over tonight at 7 to help drive the mice and anything within 50 yards out of the house with my "playing". He's bringing over his new Gibson. I'll parry with the DV-52. He is a guitar fan, not a label fan....can't wait to get his opinion on it!

Yes, it is a satin finish. The label says DV52 NTS and you are correct, I really like it.
