I love a good CL or FB score, and pickings have been good in my area lately. In the last couple of weeks I’ve refrained from going after an Oxnard D-40 for $800 and what looked like a pretty nice OM-140 with the original poly foam case and a USA Guild HSC for $400, but there was no passing up this one. At $275 my preference for small body guitars can take a hike!
It is 100% playable in its current condition but will get a little TLC soon. Three issues need to be addressed. At some point someone did a pretty sloppy job of shaping a new bone nut for it, but apparently cut the nut slots too low on the treble side so they shimmed that side of the nut with a folded piece of paper. Next the saddle was sanded down at some point...from the top, so a new one is in order. Finally there is some slight bridge lift that will need a re-glue.
Better photos are also in order but I had another project to get to.
