Major congrats! And I love those 90ies F-30 TRCs with the 60ies shield on them! I have a silver one added to my GSR F-30R.

Yeah Terry, it already does. I still have to play the dread once a week, on sat night, as i need a real strummer and more volume, but the other 6 days a week, it's the F30R :)

Already soreness has left the right shoulder.

Excellent! Same thing happened to me, amazing what a difference the smaller body size can make!

Woody, you're getting some absolutely killer tone and dynamics out of that F30 - seems
way, way happier in your hands than in mine!
Was thinking listening to that lovely tune / sound check that if the D25 is a saw,
the F30 is more like a scalpel :)

was thinking more that if the D-25-BR were a train that rolls, the F-30-R is a bird that flys...but i'm no critic...

I just picked up a '98 F30! At least that's what the guy a bought it from claimed, but when looking up serial #'s it appears Guild didn't make F30's in '98?
Hmmm...anyone know the answer?
My serial # is AE300158, but in '95 the last one made ends in 153. Weird.

Hans Moust can tell you but there are a lot of 90's instruments that did not make it into the published serial lists. If I had to guess I would say 1996. There also might be some date information inside on the neckblock (right word?) on the treble side.

Thanks guys. Yeah, nothing on the neck block, but their charts say they made no F30's in '96. So maybe that's wrong?
I think the fact that it's only 5 guitars away from the last one built in '95 would make calling it a '96 a good call.
I'll go with that, unless someone knows better.

Thanks! scott

Thanks for the photos.
Here is my headstock shots. Mine is the HR (hand rubbed) mahogany, so much lighter.
