(Sorry, no Guild content. But I know there are Martin and Taylor fans here, so. . . .)

My next-door neighbor Meg -- who sees me carting guitars in and out of my car all year 'round -- asked me to take a look at a couple guitars she has and is looking to find homes for. I wasn't expecting much -- an old Harmony or Yamaha or something -- imagine my suprise!

Both come from her late aunt.

Martin 0-18, 1957. (I haven't confirmed the year myself.) The guitar is in great cosmetic shape -- in as good as, or better, condition than any currently on Reverb. It needs a neck reset -- not to be wondered at for a guitar this old. (A straight-edge hits the bridge about a 1/4" below the top.) From what I can tell, these trade in the $3000.00 / $3500.00 range, depending on condition. Meg's ask: $3200.00.

Taylor 910 L7 CE, 2005. Perfect shape. I'm not a Taylor expert, but from what I can find online this is a limited edition model, and rare -- only around 30 were made, and has an Engelman spruce top, Brazilian rosewood back, and tasteful inlay. I'm only turning up one 910 L7 on Reverb (asking price is $6000.00+) but no 901 L7 CEs (that is with cutaway and electronics) on eBay or Reverb. If you know where to look, you can surely find out more than I was able to. Meg's ask: $5000.00.

Meg is looking to get respectible prices for the guitars, prices that reflect their value, but she isn't looking to gouge anyone -- including herself!

U.S. sales only. Prices don't include shipping costs. I'm in Cambridge, MA, in case anyone nearby wants to see the guitars in person.

If anyone here is GENUINELY, SERIOUSLY interested, PM me and I'll ty to help facilitate the sale.

Meg has never sold online and is not interested in going that route. If either of these guitars appeal to you, you'll likely get a better deal via this private sale than buying online. I'll likely be doing the packing and shipping.

Thanks!
Glenn

FYI, here's a demo of a '57 Martin 0-18 from YouTube:
