I have come across a 1981 guild m-80 and I am considering trading a one of a kind Gibson for. I can't find very much info on them and this is how I came across this site.

I am intrigued by the sold body Guilds and looking to trade a 2007 Gibson (guitar of the month) Rd Standard reissue for a guild so if anyone has something out there that they may want to trade of give me some info on the M-80 I would greatly appeciate it. I can email pictues if your intersted.

Thanks

What Guitar of the Month do you mean? Is it the SG with P90s by any chance? If so please contact me as I may be able to help you.

If it's the SG and it isn't blonde, don't bother with GAD! ;)

Okay, I won't say I don't like some Gibsons, but I'd love to have an old M-80.

Oh yeah, pictures are mandatory around here. Post 'em! ;)

Welcome!

It's a 2007 Rd Standard reissue. Kinda like a firebird body with a les paul neck. I have some pictures but not that familiar with this site and having issues with attaching a picture. I can send to an email address or if anyone has the time to expain how to post pics that would be apprecitated. The guitar is a bad ass but I have other gibsons and I am wanting something different and really like the guilds. The M-80 that I found has aged paint. all of the paint is cracked from head to toe but I have been all over the guitar and do not see any other cracks other than the finish. The guitar also looked to have a little bit of a underbow on the neck and the owner of the shop told me that they have not done any set up on the guitar and that he would have his guy check it out. I am going back on monday to check it out some more.

Thanks

Pictures can't be uploaded directly to LTG. They have to be hosted somewhere online (like Photobucket, ImageShack, etc) then linked here.

When you are typing a post look above the text box and you will see formatting options. Click the box that says "Img" and it will insert two sets of brackets into where you are typing. Put the URL of your hosted picture in between the sets of brackets. (I can't type it out the way it will look or the site will think I'm trying to link a picture here.)

Similarly, if you want a link to another website in your post, click the box that says "URL" and put the website address between the brackets.

Another tip: Click the "quote" option on other users' posts as if you are going to respond to them and you'll see what they typed for pictures, links, quotes, font styles, etc.

Well, there are a lot of great Guilds out there. Take your time and find what you like.

Good luck!

Here, I'll make this post of mine a sample just for fun.

Click "quote" at the bottom and you'll see what I typed to get...

A link to another website:

http://s655.photobucket.com/albums/uu273/qvart/1974 Guild S-100C/

A link to another website as hypertext:

Check out my Guild!

Notice on that one the URL for the link goes inside the first bracket after an "=" sign, then the text you want people to click on for the link goes between the "URL" brackets. I also inserted "color" brackets around my text so it will stand out in my post. Do that by clicking on the color you want from the "font colour" chart to the right of where you are typing.

A picture:

Another thing you can do - use the "quote" brackets to insert anything you want to say someone else said. It doesn't have to be just the "quotes" the site automatically inserts for you when you click the "quote" button:

Oh yeah, be sure to use the "Preview" option before you post to see if you made any mistakes. If you submit your post and want to change something you can click "Edit" and make your changes, which I just had to do twice even though I previewed this before submitting. ;)

(Oh yeah, insert a smiley by clicking on the one you want on the left side of where you're typing).

Off to work!
