New Warning Feature?

It's new. There's been a glut of necro-threads resurfacing so I thought that it could be a good thing to let people know that they're about to raise the dead.

The warning is triggered when the last post in the thread is over 365 days old. Otherwise the "Favorite pic of an artist playing a Guild" thread would be a nightmare. I can set the time to whatever and figured a year was a good place as any to start.

Zombie threads are fine. I just think that they show up in searches and people reply not realizing they're posting to an old thread. I know I've done it! It's not like we're preventing it - just a gentle reminder to let the poster know.

People can still resurrect them. This just cuts back on the number of times someone resurrects a thread, asks the OP to contact them and then gets annoyed when it is pointed out the thread is ancient and the OP hasn't logged in for a decade. Without the warning that became "our" fault.

I actually get sucked into necrothreads when someone else resurrects it. So if the first person ignores the warning, then... it's fair game!

^ there's nothng wrong with that. This warning just let's someone know when they're posting to something that's very old. Great feature, GAD!
