I just acquired a Tacoma made F47R Antique Burst and I LOVE it. I bought an F47 back in 1967. It was my first really nice guitar. Well, I leterally palyed that guitar to death. After 2 neck resets and 3 sets of frets and quite a few repaired cracks from hauling it around the country for years I retired her. I have missed the guitar since.............Hence, my decision to get the Traditional Series F47R.
It is a wonderful guitar. Sounds GREAT both with a pick or with my fingers and handles alternate tunings very nicely. Great bass to treble balance with a nice overtone spectrum. I have grown to really like 1 11/16" nuts so the neck is perfect for me. Guild does a GREAT job with bursts (as good as Collins IMO).
I also bought a DTAR Wavelength and the tone/volume module which I will have installed soon. I would like to add a SBT to the Wavelength. Anyone had experience with that?
Anyway, I look forward to talking with you folks.
