New Ry Cooder on the way!

Long time favorite of mine, Ry Cooder has a new album of what I believe are original,
topical songs. Looks like he channels Uncle Dave Macon and John Lee Hooker, to
name a few.

Caution: social and political opinions from the "Left" are expressed in this article,
so if that type of thing gets your shorts in a bunch, save yourself and the LTG
mods some grief and do not click this link.

Big fan of Ry Cooder and Uncle Dave.
I still have the old 7 1/2" reel-to-reels that I put together almost 40 years ago with everything Uncle Dave recorded.

Good old Uncle Dave... yup.

There's a fellow named Leroy Troy who channels the banjo showmanship part of
Dave Macon. I first saw him at a banjo gathering in Maryland in the late 20th century.
Had no idea who he was, and was quite taken by surprise!

I do indeed still have my Sony reel-to-reel.
Don't remember the last time I used it....but I still have it! :lol:
