The cloak of A- hole in disguise is faltering .
Short story time !!! Father around kiddies !
Ok so I post New pins on my RO-328 the Recording king I just got .
I just typed RO-328 Thinking that those who seen my NGD post would recognize what I mean but also it’s not about what guitar well maybe to some .

I said I also said I put new strings on Martin monel but oops like now I spelled it wrong . Lol

besides that I get into with this is adamant that the effect that I claim they have on the guitar is and I quote There’s that bugaboo confirmation bias !
Errr what ? Ok so I look it up , ugh really !
So I ask are you thinking that’s what I’m doing ? He says yes , people buy with their eyes thinking it effects tone !

he’s do a double blind test and he said Gryphon string instruments did the test so it all phooey.

Now I well understand the battle just anything you have believers and then you none believers .

I tried looking for the test but couldn’t find it maybe one of could I would like to read it .

now I found the topic on pins at AGF and most think it doesn’t change or so it’s very little . they do believe the nut and saddle will have an effect . Ok fine.

Now in this tread there’s a few links to tests on pins the only and best of the links I’ll post but all he did was change pins out starting with Horn , plastic brass , ebony and rosewood .

now maybe I’m nuts and maybe the guy is right and I don’t know anything about what I’m talking about . I am so sorry to anyone I offended.

now I jammed in the ear buds there not the best but not bad and I listen . Guess what I guess I should never mention my experiences again !!!! Ever !!!
because I heard a difference with each one !!!!!!! and in this reality it’s impossible for such a thing to happen .

Now you folks no I’m anal about tone and other things acoustic guitar . What in world would I have to gain by lying ? Which is something I won’t do anyway .

I think in my recording king post I mentioned the how the sustain and overtones were at the time .

no I did put new strings on at the same time I fitted the new pins .

old string were , I’m not sure most likely D’Adderio 80/20 the strings were not old so they are not the determining factor of its tone at the moment.

do I put on Monals 12’s now there supposed to offer a mellow tone right ?
The original pins are plastic and I have to say very nice plastic pins which is kind of a first most I seen look like they went through a blender .

ok let’s cut to chase , once every thing was done and tuned I was blown away .
Not only has the overtones filled out but the sustain and everything else just came to life ! Like night and day .

now why would I make this up ? Ok she’s got new strings but honestly I use the Monals a lot they never had this type of effect on a guitar I had ever ! and usually the strings and pins always go together so I’m at a loss .

over all I know what I hear , I have no reason to lie about it . I personally don’t care about others liking me or not .

So no head bloating here . I share my experiences so maybe it will help someone else down the road .

I’ll never share my opinion of .. say these pins to anyone in a way that means my pins are better or the best you can get and if you don’t agree your screwed up . Lol that’s my area so stay out ! 😂😂😂

anyway last thing I’m going to say about it’s improve which may not be a improvement is the overtones and sustain at the moment sound like over kill . I never thought I say it’s to much but it may just be the case . LOL A definite first .

we see what happens in a few days 🙂
My pin pic FWI and that vid I mentioned maybe you folks can hear or hear a difference?

Well, things are a bit different here on LTG, but most places when you put your OPINION out there, it's a challenge to all the keyboard warriors to bring you down and make you sorry. Which is why I hardly ever go to those places. So when you put it out there, you gotta suck it up and know they're gonna target you! (Paranoid much?) So I guess that's why there was so much poorly expressed emotion in Ray's post. Ray, use more pain meds, bro...... :p

You should see what happens when you publicly display any kind of artistic work. People come out of the woodwork to tell you how it’s not good, not as good as something else, has some error, or is otherwise not as good as they could have done, even though the person complaining has never created anything in their lives.

Painting, writing, music, photography, coding, sculpting, speaking - it doesn’t matter. God forbid you decide to publicly like or create something that doesn’t jive with the current prevailing wisdom.
You will be told you’re not good enough and you will be presented with an onslaught of negativity.

If you try to please everyone you will succumb to depression and eventually fail.

Sorry. Struck a nerve. :)

That’s the story of my whole life !!! Lol
That’s way I don’t give a hoot about people’s views . I would like for people to enjoy my music but at the same it doesn’t really matter .
I write my music first and foremost for me it’s my reflection of my life my heart my love and my experiences.
We all have opinions I ‘ll joke around with folks here but that’s about it . I just feel right driving my opinion of right and wrong or reality onto others .

However, there's this:
Back in 1967, when I was dating Vicki, the first time she came to my room she was looking at all the Beardsley posters and such I had on my walls and she noticed a drawing of Gene Clark I had done from the cover of his first solo album. It was the first time I'd ever attempted something like this, and all my friends had told me that it was really great.
"Who's that?" ,she asked.
"Uh, Gene Clark. You know, who used to be in the Byrds..."
"Who drew it?"
"Uh, well...I did..."
"It's not very good, is it?"
"Uh...I guess not."
Now before this had happened, I'd told her that I didn't have a regular male ego. I reminded her of this event years later and told her that she had
destroyed the little I'd had. However, when that happened in my room back then, I knew this was the person I wanted to be with the rest of my life.
Her father was actually a very good amateur artist, as was she--through all the years we've been together she's kept me from being too full of myself.
She was the only critic whose opinion mattered to me.

Ed Gerhard signature master class jumbo . But it’s not fat like must jumbos it’s more OM body depth and boy can she sing !
it’s brilliant in design more jumbos should be made like this .
