Aahzz !
welcome to LTG…
I didn’t tell my wife that I had bought an F-512 (2010) from another member on the FS here.
We returned to the farm right as the shipping truck was leaving and she said “what’s that package?” (leaning against the wall by the locked door)… I said “oh, that might be my new guitar”…. She stormed in the house - to make sure I knew I was in deep…, never mind…. Anyway, now that I‘ve had it for almost 2 years, I’m thinking about selling my two Martin twelves. The Guild is the only one I play anymore.

Glad you like it!!! I remember you telling me of the impeccable timing of the delivery!!

So we're about to see how she sounds with some slightly lighter strings - she's playable with the 13s on there, but I'm going to see how she sounds with 12s...maybe even 11s...I'm off to GC.

*sigh* - she's going on Craigslist. She sounds amazing, plays great, but I just don't get along with Dreads, or larger necks.

Hi!

I have a Guild DV52 that I bought new in either 1998 or 1999 and I love that guitar! It's solidly built overall, which is great because it's had a couple of mishaps. The bridge did start to separate some and I had Elderly Instruments repair that.

The only thing I'm not really crazy about with mine is the high gloss finish. But the sound has opened up and I've gotten a lot of compliments from people who've heard it and friends who've played it. For a long time, I've coveted a Collings guitar but came to the realization, "Why? Since I'm not in a band anymore, I'll maybe never play my Guild." And it is too awesome to be left unplayed. Enjoy yours!
