I'm new here and wanted to say hello. I have a brand new A-20 Marley that I'm thrilled with. Excellent tone and workmanship and setup was great out of the box. The neck profile, scale length and nut width are a very comfortable combination.

As for me, I've been playing guitar all my life since childhood in the 70's, but got back into it more seriously about 15+ years ago. Have bought and sold too many guitars to count but am down to four, plus an electric. Mostly play for own enjoyment and occasionally at a jam here and there. Doing more recording these days while home, so that's been fun. Had not considered a Guild until seeing the A20 Marley, that is, unless you count MJH's F-30 lol.

Welcome Blueser100!! I picked up a Marley A-20 at the guitar store not longer after it came out. I was impressed. A lot of value for the price point. This is a good place where there is a lot of love for both Guild and Madeira guitars. Also, some Dearmond love here. Stick around!

Thanks D30Man. Somehow Guild didn't get onto my radar until recently. Better late than never. By the way, what strings do you like on yours? I changed mine out to Martin lights 12-54 and wow, what a sound!

I am a Martin Lifespan 12-54 guy myself. I used the SIT lightly coated for a while. Not too bad. I always come back to Martins though.

And BTW, when I say I picked an A-20 up I meant just to play it in the store. I don't actually own one :)
Not to say that I wouldn't at some point. Great campfire guit no doubt.

Thanks for clarifying. I probably won't be taking it a campfire any time soon but will be using it to improve my flatpicking (thanks to 1 3/4 nut, I make less mistakes) and recording.

Welcome aboard, Blueser100. Congrats on your Marley!

Just beware that hanging around here will give you major GAS (guitar acquisition syndrome) for other Guilds!!! :D
Oh boy, you know it. Though I kind of already went through that, past 15-20 years or so. But I will be on watch for GAS (Guild Acquisition Syndrome lol). It's easy to slip back into GAS...
