New Member; a few questions

This is terrific. I can't believe I haven't found this forum until now, but I'm glad it's here. I have a D-50 that I have played and enjoyed for about ten years. When I have tried to look up the serial number to date it, I've been unable to find a match.

The serial number is B6887. If anybody has any thoughts on how old my guitar is, I'd appreciate it.

Further, if someone can recommend the right person to help me readjust the setup in the southern California area, I'd also be very grateful.

Hey David, welcome to LTG, good place here.

For the serial do you have a pic of the label? They're hand written and often times a little on the sloppy side. Could be the B is an 8 making it 86887 which would put it in the '73 range.

Welcome aboard! I'm guessing your number is actually 86887 which would make it a '73. B6887 doesn't conform to any of Guild's serial schemes.

here is a shot of the label. I don't think the first character is an 8, because it doesn't look like the other two 8s. I thought It was a B but perhaps it is a 3? Where would that put it, agewise?

Oh yeah, that's a "3". 36887 is from 1964.
