I'm looking for the one that got away. I foolishly sold mine a few years back in my chase after boutique guitars. I miss it.

Anyone got one they would be willing to part with?
Good luck Neal! I have a F50ce Standard that I've thought about selling a time or two, but I know that I'd regret it because they're not easy to find. The best bang for the buck guitar that came out of New Hartford, and maybe even any of Guild's plants.

Yeah, Sandy. My internet search has come up blank.

I still remember the primary factor in my decision to let it go. Not enough space at the nut. I'm a little more forgiving these days.

Neal, Here is another 2009 I think, for $1895. A few cosmetic flaws. If you don’t grab it someone here should.

Wow that f-50r. I need one. That and The Florentine cut away D 40. I might be willing to trade my 86 D-55!

I’ve never played a F50M but I have a 1998 JF65. Some say it’s the same, not sure. It’s beautiful and sounds incredible. Did yours look like this? If so maybe you can find one of these

Neal, I realize I wished you well already, but continued good luck with the (ongoing) search. Figured it couldn't hurt to re-wish! :D

Thanks, Chaz. Since posting this, I have used up most of my guitar money on two Gretsch hollow-bodies (a Double Anniversary with Filtertrons and a 5125 with the same Dearmond 2000's that went on Guilds in the early 2000's).

The JF-30-12 I acquired from you has scratched my Guild maple jumbo itch nicely. Yet, I am always on the lookout for a good deal on an F-50.

PB that is a beautiful guitar. Stunning!
Neal, like you my latest GAS interests are lurking towards an F50 Maple.

When made in Tacoma and New Hartford did the F50R have Adirondack spruce tops?

No, never. I think there have been some special editions of F-50R, but I don't recall a red spruce (Adirondack) top.

But Tacoma and New Hartford F-50's did have scalloped red spruce braces, compared to earlier sitka straight-braced versions.
