Yeah, I know, ya'll are likely tired of me posting now and then about non Guild gear. In my defense, I've gotten on a Martin Custom Shop kick lately.

I know I posted about my Bubinga Martin and I think my Tamo Ash Martin as well. Here's one I hadn't mentioned yet. It's a highly quilted Maple Martin Custom Shop job with a bear claw Spruce top that looks pretty interesting. No worries, this will likely be my last post about non Guild gear for a bit. And yes, before anyone chimes in, the burst is not as nice as a Guild burst but on this one I think it works to show off the bear claw pretty well.

Beautiful, congrats! That's a very non-traditional Martin, but then again, the Custom Shop can build almost anything. Hide glue construction?

Far from boring! Educate me as much as you like. I am, always, interested in hearing and seeing the latest arrivals in Barton City.

Spectacular, quilted back, Richard. I wonder what they stained it with... Really makes the grain figure pop. Wow! Enjoy!

Spectacular. The burst is perfect for that guitar. Richard, is that something you ordered yourself or came across somehow?

Found it on Reverb, haggled a few weeks with the store in Md. from which I bought the guitar, they worked with me to give me a fair deal and so I bought it.

Having struggled to come up with any interesting ideas for a Custom Shop Martin, I'm always impressed when I see something from there that's different from anything else. Congrats - it's a stunning guitar. Hope you enjoy it.

Definitely not your typical Martin, that’s for sure. Quilted maple makes such a gorgeous guitar. Congrats!

Luckily I’m not seeing the aforementioned moth head. What I do see is a back bookmatched to perfection!

Just keep ‘em coming, Richard!

Really nice, especially the bear claw. I saw this on baytunesguitar.com. 1-3/4" wide nut too. The description and appointments make it a one of a kind. They called the stain trans-walnut.
