Rumor has it that Fender (F.M.I.C.) will be introducing a new line of instruments for the younger set. They are planning to release a line of Ukuleles to help create a new generation of loyal customers. They will be under the Guild name, and will be available in an assortment of colors, and styles including models with 4 or 6 strings. They will also come with a choice of solid body, or full acoustic varieties, and of course with a choice of 1 to 3 pickups in either the vintage P90 style or their unparalleled humbucker model. They will also include a free T- shirt for any customers under the age of 4. Fender is counting on this new line to bolster the profits of the company, as they haven't been promoting the Guild line of their acoustic guitars, they are hoping for a natural progression of the new younger generation to evolve into guitar players and of course purchase their first Guild guitar when their hands get large enough to wrap around the neck..... What day is it? Steffan

Whew for a minnit there I thought this was just an April Fool's joke. Can I get an A/E with a cutaway and shortscale? Is there a custom shop option? If they were really serious about growing future customer base they'd put in a USB port and gaming options. "Ukelele Hero".
What about baritone ukes?
