Anyway, it looks like a 12-string brother to the D-55. I'm not sure if there ever was a production model like that.
No, hence to say like CMG does "
One of Guild’s rarest models returns in this one-off Special Run" isn't exactly correct, at least I can't remember such D-55-12 as 14 fret version, but there was the 12 fret version which Richard and now awagner owns.
I just received the guitar from Richard, who did a great job packing the guitar. The guitar is in excellent condition, with only minor wear and finish checking. I sampled it for just a few minutes, but it sounds great and plays nicely. I am just not used to 12-fretters, especially on 12...

And I like it that Oxnard continues the tradition of small volume GSR runs!
That's the 3rd GSR out of Oxnard if I counted correctly. (2019 D-55 Noir for Music Villa, only 2 made, and the D-40T DELUXE for Sweetwater, only 6 to 8 made).
Also they made a few more custom models already, like the two
D-40 Richard Fortus models and the
Signature M-40 in Daphne Blue for Nikki Lane. So they are on the right track!
That GSR D-512E for CME is a super model in my opinion, as it is a model probably never done before!
I wonder if they added a GSR label like in the D-55 Noir: (Probably not, as I don't see any label)
