Oh, that could be cool especially because it has scalloped braces which could make it a little more lively.

Sweet! I bet it sounds like a Blues freight train. I wish I could play it without pain in my fretting hand.

Indeed, very cool, but naturally the name confused me. Anyway, it looks like a 12-string brother to the D-55. I'm not sure if there ever was a production model like that. The D-50 as a 12-string was known as a G-312 back in the day. Talk about confusing model naming! :)

Anyway, looks great, and it is interesting that they're calling this a GSR... That's exactly what it is, by New Hartford's definition anyway. Nice job, Cordoba!!!!!

No, hence to say like CMG does "One of Guild’s rarest models returns in this one-off Special Run" isn't exactly correct, at least I can't remember such D-55-12 as 14 fret version, but there was the 12 fret version which Richard and now awagner owns.

And I like it that Oxnard continues the tradition of small volume GSR runs!
That's the 3rd GSR out of Oxnard if I counted correctly. (2019 D-55 Noir for Music Villa, only 2 made, and the D-40T DELUXE for Sweetwater, only 6 to 8 made).
Also they made a few more custom models already, like the two D-40 Richard Fortus models and the Signature M-40 in Daphne Blue for Nikki Lane. So they are on the right track!
That GSR D-512E for CME is a super model in my opinion, as it is a model probably never done before!

I wonder if they added a GSR label like in the D-55 Noir: (Probably not, as I don't see any label)

Well, if you want a dread 12, OK. I guess some folks aren't into the jumbos, but not in this household!

I like that Oxnard is continuing the name confusion tradition....

Actually I think that one makes total sense. It's a true D-512 (14 fret) same as there was a D-212. The G-212 and G-312 were the odd ones with the G in the name.

i own a G-312 and an F-312, and prefer the dread myself

I've owned an F312 and have had a few G312s, still have one. I just wish I could have compared them now.

On the new F512, I think they goofed and should have offered a F312 instead with a much better price point. I think it's a one man show with decisions at Oxnard. IMHO.

What exactly is it that you think the Oxnard F-512 is not good? Can't remember somebody complaining about it?

I also would love to see a new F-312 but they have no 16" F-body sized guitar in production at all, so I think they would start with the (real) F-40/F-47 six string models first...if they want to offer a 16" body... And also the 15" F-30 size is still missing, I think a F-112 could also work.
