That's an Aristocrat. But it's not a '54 with that tailpiece, and the pickups are certainly much later. Here's a '55: Gbase 1955 Aristocrat
Note the $6500 asked. If yours is even close in age and condition, $1000 is a dead steal - find some old P-90s (hey, now that you ask, I have a pair myself), and you have pretty close to the same guitar. Have you got a picture of the headstock? That'll tell the tale even for duffers like me. On the other hand, Hans can probably take one look and tell you whose bench it come off in what month of what year.
hey jeff,
according to hans' book this should be a m-75.
the headplate is not visible so I would say a late 60's model, because the 50's models had other knobs and a blockinlay on 21st fret which the 60's models did not have. also it has got modified pu's -maybe dimarzios- a modified bridge, and an additional miniswitch.
what is speaking for a 50's model is the pickguard which seems to be from a 50's model and if original the PU-switch which was bigger in the 50's models.

Nope, I wasn't asking him to ship it, I had confirmed seat availability on the 6:00 AM flight,
Didn't feel inclined to fly out till I knew he was gonna sell it to me . Might have been a mistake, Didn't know the address so I couldn't sit on his doorstep & await.
Hey, don't knock '71's. Mine is fully hollow, but all maple laminate construction. One of the most versatile guitars I've played....yet, a spruce topped, mahogany b/s with Franz pickups is my dream!
Oops! Sorry, Don.
I did actually mean the fully hollow models. My foggy addled memory isn't serving me as it should. When did they become only solid? Gotta look at Hans' book again.
Okay, I covet your beautiful M-75. There I've said it!
