I always believed the original EMG 60 didn't really do the rare bird too well.
Thanks to Hans for his help converting the original chrome to gold with NOS Covers and polepiece screws, for waxpotting and for his patience and guidance for the wiring and soldering which I finally completed today. Each pickup now also has a splitcoil switch, the neck PU within the tone push/pull pot, so now the variety of sounds can cover almost everything from jazzboxalike to telestyle with a unique original own woody expression.
Today I can say I was right. The old HB-1's are a complete blast and look so cool, too. Now she finally will be my no.1 playing guitar! YEAH!!! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
