my upgraded '87 Nightingale...now with SOUND and live pics!

...with original 1980 HB-1's.

I always believed the original EMG 60 didn't really do the rare bird too well.

Thanks to Hans for his help converting the original chrome to gold with NOS Covers and polepiece screws, for waxpotting and for his patience and guidance for the wiring and soldering which I finally completed today. Each pickup now also has a splitcoil switch, the neck PU within the tone push/pull pot, so now the variety of sounds can cover almost everything from jazzboxalike to telestyle with a unique original own woody expression.

Today I can say I was right. The old HB-1's are a complete blast and look so cool, too. Now she finally will be my no.1 playing guitar! YEAH!!! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

What's the "wart" at the bottom? An Axon PU 100 which as far as I can figure out (I only play bass and know guitarists use a lot more toys than I know about) lets you use the guitar as a MIDI controller?

hey jamie, everything is fine?

the axon pu makes it possible to use every synthsound fom soft- or hardwaresynthesizers with a converter like mine, the old Roland GI-10 or you can plug the guitar directly in guitar synthezisers like these:

first concert with the nightingale in the new band of kery fay.
even though I stabbed my wrist which had to be stitched the night before, I performed with xtra taped bandage and we made it to the final of the contest in september!
