There are moments where the band drowns out the sound of the guitar... But you will get the idea.... But the tone I am getting from my new setup is amazing...

This is one of our songs from rehersal last night.

Setup:

Guild X-170 all original
Thomastik Infeld Jazz Swing strings
Fender Blues Deluxe with Weber California speaker.
Jazz Monster cord.

Sounds lovely! What gauge TI's are you sporting?

12's... It's funny because these feel like 11's to me... I prefer lighter strings... The 12's do a great job and I was surprised how the tension didn't feel too much for me... I might be able to get away with using the 13's, the 11's would be too light... I really think these strings are partially responsible for the great tone...

You sound great! What a fun band to play with. Thanks!

Thanks so much for your kind words... It was the first time I had seen that chart and I had to solo over changes I had never seen.. But they were pretty common changes... I was so focused on the solo I lost track of where I was in the chart at the solo end.. I had to rejoin the band...

I don't know if anyone noticed but we had no bass this night... I tried my best to throw in some bass while playing chords ...
