Hello all, this is my first post here! Recently I sold a bunch of my old gear that has been collecting dust so I could fund the perfect guitar to use through music school and hopefully onwards into teaching music myself! Through researching and playing a lot of different high end guitars I became absolutely obsessed with the D55, so when I saw a 2019 Oxnard made D55 pop up used on craigslist for $2600 I had to check it out. Luckily the guitars in fantastic condition, the previous owner I bought it from said he had only played it about 10 times since he bought it last year, and there seems to be almost no signs of use on it. It's absolutely beautiful and it is the nicest sounding guitar I have ever owned by a MILE. I could not be happier with this instrument and I full intend to hold onto it forever! I included some pictures but they're all phone
camera quality so take that how you will lol

Very beautiful guitar. I'll bet it sounds great.

If I had it to do over I would buy a D55 vs my HD28.

Hello bsimz4703! This is a really beautifull instrument you've got here, congrats! I'm not sure if I have got it right: Have you already started music school?

Those strings look massive, what gauge do you use? And the nut looks like it might need some filing on the lower strings? I'm not sure though without seeing the guitar in person.

However, welcome aboard!

Touché on the TRC 😅

Welcome! Beautiful guitar! I wish I still had mine! It was possibly the last one made in Westerly. I do not have the s/n so I'll never know! Anyway, fantastic instrument!

thanks! They're Dean Markley 12's which I've never tried before but they sound alright. Do you have any string suggestions?
