still holding off until Sat..

Lets see, you said tomorrow on Thursday, which implies you would post pics on Friday.
Now you say Saturday.
Have we been had by a troll?

Why not just post the notice once you're ready instead of posting days and days before and then saying you'll post later?? At this point I really don't care....

Exactly!
It smells like we have been played.

Well that clears it right up. So is it the D-55 with the flaw that sounds great or the replacement?

And here we all thought that your delivery was simply way past the due date and that "your luthier" was going to have to induce delivery.

Are you planning on accessorising it with improved bridge pins ? I thoroughly recommend petrified porcupine pizzle pins but, I simply can't decide what pin inlays most complement PPP. Does anyone have an experience to share ?

Presently, I propose plasticized papaya pins, but people pan pedantic preferences.

But to be quite honest my luthier got the guitar delivered to him and he called me and ask me to come to his place to look at the guitar and I did. However the guitar had a flaw and I contacted my seller and they were kind enough to send a replacement next day and I get it Sat. I am hanging on to the return guitar until Tues. so it doesn't sit in a shippers hot whse. next three days. So I'll take my return to the shipper Tues but it is boxed up . . My seller has been wonderful and also I talked to guild people who are most generous..I got to hear the guitar for a couple of minutes and I am VERY happy with the wonderful sounds. Some on here or the other forums know I have been searching for a different guitar that doesn't mimic my Martins but yet I wanted a guitar that had its own distinction in beauty and sound. This guitar is IT!!!!!!!I love my martins but it is so wonderful to pick a guitar that isn't a martin and yet love it as much for its features and sound.!! I'd buy another guild without hesitation as long as their quality holds up! Pic's come when I bring it home! That's the scoop.:eagerness::victorious:

Glad you like it. Knew you would. It's hard not to like a D-55.

Which one are you keeping? Maybe you can get a deal on the damaged one?

Couldn't have said it better myself!
Kbob2, are you taking notes here? This is priceless info you are getting!
And if that D-55 doesn't work out for you, I hear the D-56's are spectacular!

If I bought a new guitar, it would come to me, first. My luthier, or anyone else for that matter, would have to wait until I checked it out. It might be a loose analogy but it makes me think of having someone else open my birthday presents before I get to see them.

None of this is making much sense Kbob but thanks for entertaining the troops. :anonymous:
