Hey all, I rescued this 1972 S-100 about 2 or 3 months ago and I'm in the process of getting it back to a stock bridge. Needs a new nut as it was flipped righty by the previous owner. Figured I'd share some photos and I'll post here again when it's finished!
Here it is strung righty - lost the original bridge parts and redid the bridge posts and bushings, they also plugged the original holes and drilled the new angle righty so it can intonate upside down. YUCK.
Whoever had it refinished sanded the finish from the neck and buffed it. Feels amazing.
While I waited for Hans to ship me the bridge pieces I needed - I decided to rehab an old ruined 70s SG case I had in the basement. I forgot to take photos of the process - but here's a screenshot from an instagram video I posted.
And a few angles of the finished product:
Finally where I'm currently at: Deciding how best to plug those holes and re-drill with minimum damage to the finish - which I actually really like! My friend is a respected looth in the PA area and will be assisting / teaching me some things from here on out!
Next post will probably be sometime next month of the end product and maybe some clips wailing through my Fusionbear JMP 50 Clone or my Mesa Badlander 100!
