Lots of interaction between members of Jefferson Airplane and and what became CSN. Check out the song "Wooden Ships" for more.

Also, David Crosby's first solo album "If I Could Only Remember My Name". Literally everyone was at Wally Heider's for those sessions!

I'm inclined to agree. Except for BATE.

BATE?

Blows Against The Empire.

First Jefferson Starship album although I recall that was just a name used for release and not an intention to be a band (if that makes sense). Lots of people from other bands playing on it.

The recording, in sequence, tells a story ("concept album"). The story has been overtaken by events since we weren't building a starship since 1980 and so it wasn't hijacked by people with a clever plan. but it is still a fun story.

It is one of the few recordings from the time of "albums" that I routinely listen to in its entirety and in order.

See https://letstalkguild.com/ltg/index.php?threads/pickup-vs-body.168210/ for some ancient discussion on tone and how to get it but buried in the thread is a story that Jack played "Sunrise" (from BATE) on @mgod's rig and then mgod tried it and - surprise - did not sound like Jack. I remember the story because while I had long admired "Sunrise" I had never really realized how much of it was bass.

It's all bass, except for the vocal and a little tiny acoustic guitar.

Slight veer, but Cros related: His new album, For Free is worth the listen. He is in fine voice. The title cut is a beautiful cover of Joni Mitchell's song with Sarah Jarosz.

My early favorite from the album:
