I took the Bluegrass Special on his first jam last night, onstage with 2 vintage Martin D-35's, a newer jumbo Martin J-18, a Gibson L-5 mandolin and standup bass. It kicked butt! I got a lot of compliments on the sound and it was very good and confidence filling from my side of the guitar. I think we have a winner!
This week, I'm going to be installing a K&K Pure Western Mini in it, so that'll both get it ready for situations where direct amping is desirable AND get rid of that VERY puny and non confidence inspiring end pin which it came with.
