I wanted to start a new thread in the Misc. forum to make sure everyone is included (who wants to be), and knows about it. I posted an idea about making a video in the LTGers forum and got enough feedback to start work on the project. Essentially, I am putting together a video involving us playing Dylan’s My Back Pages. You can read through the other thread here https://letstalkguild.com/ltg/index.php?threads/ltg-video-idea.203866/ , but I am asking participants to record themselves playing along to the guide track, uploading that recording to my Google drive, and I’ll do all of the audio mixing and take what videos or still images to make the video which I’ll post on YouTube.

You will need to play the guide track through headphones while you record your part on another device, which could be your phone, tablet, laptop, computer, or 24 bit Neve console. Just try to get as high quality as you can at a good volume without distortion.
I would like to get a different vocalist for each of the 6 verses. I will fill in anything missing. You can sing all 6 verses, a select few, or just one on your submitted file. I will mix and match as needed.
We need 2 guitar soloists (or bass soloists). Same deal applies, solo over both spots or just one. I’ll edit later. If we have more soloists, that’s fine too, I can add solo verses or edit into half verses.
We need someone with a Guild electric 12 string to do the opening Roger McGuinn lick. Or an acoustic could work too. (My electric 12 is a Danelectro, so shouldn’t be on a LTG project.)
If anyone wants to do a drum part, that’s fine. I’ll either replace, or have a double drum setup. My guide one is fairly basic. Same with keyboards.
Acoustic or electric guitar is fine; strummed or picked.

The link to upload files to my Google drive is in the original thread, in the LTGers forum, which is where it should stay for privacy issues. (Non-LTGers can see this forum.) You will also find a non-compressed .aiff file of the guide track there, or you can use the YouTube video below, here. We are using the Byrds version for the chords, Dylan’s for the words, the Dylan 30th Anniv. Concert version for a model.

Lets put those Guilds to work!

In order to keep things organized, we will keep the original thread in the LTGers section as the main discourse location. Please check in there.
