Any thoughts on this set up?
I've been using the K&K for years and have tried the I Beam and many other under saddle type pickups too.
But lately I've been thinking about the Anthem duo pickup system Transducer / mic.
I'm all ears if anyone has anything to disclose or another suggestion.

The glue they advice for K & Ks is the type that makes it impossible to remove the pick-ups without damaging the guitar it seems...
That's why, for me, any other good pick-ups would fill my neeeds better ; the combination of an under-saddle pick-up and a mic works pretty well, and L.R. Baggsq is very likely to do the job...I've never used the Anthem though, but I've tried an other similar system by Fishman, and it looked like nothing else seemed significantly better...So it could be worth a try...
Sorry that I'm not able to tell more and still answered, but as your thread was remaining with no genuine answer...

I've been watching and reading reviews on the Baggs Anthem Transducer with Mic and sounds like Baggs seem to get it right.
From what I've read the Fishman is not quite there for many. But I'm sure that it may depend on what you are trying to get
out of your acoustic, the acoustic itself, and the venue it's used in.
Still interested in any thoughts with respect to the Anthem from users

This is not true. K&Ks can be popped off, usually without destroying them, and the residue can be cleaned off. I personally dislike K&Ks and have had them replaced by Dazzos in two guitars. Even the epoxy Dazzos are glued in with can be removed and cleaned up.

As to what you can put into a guitar, it's a matter of purpose. Are you needing to go for volume in a band with a drummer? That is the only good reason to use an undersaddle PU, IMHO. The Anthem might be the ticket for that. But even then you'd probably be better off with a magnetic. A K&K would probably work for most people as long as you have a boatload of EQ available. Passive too.

I don't know about the K&K, but I have used the Anthem and the D-TAR. You can blend between the piezo and mic which creates a more natural acoustic sound which, to my ears, is more pleasing than any under-saddle piezo pickup by itself.

I have the factory installed Anthem in my Oxnard D-55E and F-55E. I’d say the tone is perfect. I roll the blend to maximum mic and plug right into the mixer. But I only play at low volume in my studio and feedback in the mic is no concern. Stage may be an issue. I also installed a K&K in my MIC F-2512E and I think it sounds very good straight into the mixer and great run through the Boss AD-2. Much butter than the factory piezo, which I think is unusable. The K&K is passive but I find the output level to be strong.

No matter the output of a piezo pickup, you need an impedance matching devise or any piezo is going to be shrill. I've had to explain this to many K&K owners. Shame on all the stores and installers who fail to educate their customers, and K&K owners who do not read the instruction manual. Any battery equipped guitar has this done onboard, but any passive piezo pickup needs either a DI, pre amp, or acoustic amplifier. I do believe the cheaper Anthem has no blending ability. This is not a good idea, but maybe the Baggs folks think most of them will never leave the house.
