Howdy, Boys and Girls,

Say, I bought a really cool '07 D55 Sunburst (DTAR model) from Scratch.

It's the first Tacoma Guild that I've played and I like it very much. The workmanship is great, the guitar sounds wonderful and I have every hope that I can keep it in the stable for a long, long time, once I figure out how to properly amplify it in a band situation (see, I even put it in my signature line!).

Only one small issue. The bridge pins and the saddle are loose, as in, 'turn the guitar upside down without strings and they'll fall out loose'!

It really gave me pause. It makes me wonder, did the ebony bridge shrink a bit once the guitar was out in the world or are the specs on the saddle and pins a bit off?

Anybody have any ideas? I'd like to get some opinions before I buy some new custom pins!

Also, maybe the saddle is supposed to be loose with the DTAR undersaddle pickup?
If not, what kind of material do I use to replace it with? Believe me, an enquiring mind wants to know!!

Give it a good dose of humidity, might swell the bridge just a tad.

Thanks, effin', I'll sure consider it. Scratch had it in his house by Canyon Lake, though.
You'd think maybe a Lake the size of Canyon, might let out a bit of humidity into the surrounding atmosphere.

By the way, looked at your pics. Might nice, including Max. What a nice fella he must be!

Max was a service dog we raised from a puppy to one year, then we gave him back to the organization. He made it though his training, and was issued to a blind gent out in Utah. He's had a little bit of a hard time since then, had issues with his owner who didn't work him, was sent back, didn't get reissued, and we ended up letting one of the trainers at Leader Dog keep him, since we had first rights if he ever failed. This guy really has gone to bat for Max, since he ended up with a serious form of lymphoma, has had several surgeries and heavy radiation. He seems to be doing fine, and Momma still gets teary eyed over him. He was pretty special to her.

As long as the saddle doesn't lean when you string it up, you should be good. Same with the pins, if they hold the strings in fine, then good to go!!
