I have a very early (1956) X50 that is complete and all original but is missing a tone knob. The volume knob has no markings so I assume the tone knob would be the same. So far I haven’t been able to locate one on the web. Just wondering if there is some arcane parts source that might help in my search, or someone in this group that has any. I love the X50, the first guitar I ever played, and now one of my favorites in my collection.

Look on eBay for a Dakaware knob. It is a little more difficult to find a press fit knob, but they turn up from time to time. You can also contact @hansmoust through his website - he just might have one for you.

I found one that was a perfect original part. I contacted Hans and I think he pointed me to a site that has exactly what I needed. Thanks!

I have those knobs in stock, but the postage for sending a small item like that overseas is crazy.
It's cheaper (and often quicker) to buy it on your side of the 'big pond'; if you're on my side, I would be more than happy to help you out!

Sincerely,

Hans Moust
