My first JF-30 12 (and first Guild, which I still have) has a natural top.
I later bought a second one with a walnut top. I thought I'd landed on something REALLY rare, quickly hit BIN before any of you hounds here on LTG could beat me to it, and was on tenterhooks waiting for it to arrive.
While it was still en route I posted a brag here about my good luck, with a link to the original ad. Then our man Hans popped my balloon by informing me that the top was walnut-STAINED, not actual walnut.
I was kind of bummed -- till the guitar arrived.
It's a superb instrument, was in great shape, and I got it at a very good price. (And even walnut stained is fairly rare, apparently.)
So no post-purchase dissonance after all. (I still have that one too.)

There's a Tacoma built F-412 on Ebay. Not sure what kind of seller it is. Hard to see the true condition of the guitar from the photos. The price is a little high but perhaps you can negotiate.

S/n indicates an '06, would still have the dual truss rods "FWIW". PS list price in Feb '06 was $2649.00 so I'd say that price is very uh, "ambitious"

Let us know about the buying experience from CME, Nitro. I think it's great that you're getting an Oxnard product through them. Probably get full backing from them even if this is used and warrantee is non-transferable.

Major congrats! But it's an F412, right? I see it's got a paper label, so I think that means it's not an Oxnard build, and it was Oxnard that changed the nomenclature (once again) to "F512 Maple" instead of simply "F412." Anyway, I'd like to see a little closer look at that paper label! Doesn't really matter though -- beautiful 12er!

It was one that I had inquired about a few months ago, but told it sold. The salesperson reached out this morning. It turned out that this guitars was tied up with a trade deal that never materialized. It’s never left the building. I’m the first owner with warranty.
my first experience with CME and I say it was a great experience
The salesperson had my cell number and kept me informed through out, and sent me the text this morning before work because he already knew my work schedule from previous messages.
