+1 Steffan. LTG is unusual. So much of what passes for "social networking" and online interaction is actually anti-social, IMO a reflection of fragmenting social patterns due not just to technology.

But here simple passions and shared concerns reign supreme. We meet for a common purpose, and discover other affinities. Perhaps it's something about Guild guitars that helps self-select such a group.

However it happened, I'm happy to participate. LTG has taught me many things, and there are any number of interesting people here whom it would be a pleasure to meet in person.

MD, I think you have touched on something fundamental. IMO, technology is an enabler - not the root cause. But while it facilitates that fragmentation you speak of, it also (among tolerant and socially graceful individuals) permits people with widely divergent views of the world in general to come together and share a common affinity for a venerable guitar maker.

Nicely put, Frosty.

I'm a new guy here. And I was shocked when I went back to look and see when I joined and found it was less than four months ago. Really? Seems like I've been here longer. It certainly has been a happy time for me, and I've learned SO MUCH from y'all. Made me wonder what I did with my time BEFORE I found LTG. What was I doing? I have no idea. A great collection of quality people and personalities that I respect very much. I'm happy to have this place for sure.

Additionally, the rate of Americans with no one to discuss important matters with tripled.[15]
The silver lining in all that is that the number of Americans who realize there actually ARE important matters to discuss has fallen to virually nil. Ergo, no problem. :p
BTW, Seen any good TV lately? :D
And furthermore, anybody ever wondered why I can't seem to stay away from this place?
nothin wrong with a little TV. just kick off the ole' boots grab your GF and some chinese food and chill a while, all while playing the guild of your choice (just dont get teriyaki on the guitar).
on the more serious side, I really gotta wonder what my life would be without this place. honestly I cant imagine life without LTG. I know my posting has been lacking a bit lately but even if I don't post for a while it doesn't mean I'm not "dropping in," so to speak. Out of all the forums (probably 10 or so) I've been on, this is the only one that feels like you actually know the people behind the names. LTG really feels like an old friends house. you just come in and the gangs all there waiting for you.
wow I just realized that I have been on LTG for 2.5 years. I cant believe its been that long. Man I'm getting old.

Komatsu "Chicken" Teriyaki, one of the few challengers to defeat Masaharu "Iron Chef" Morimoto. Sweet & Sour Broccolli with Uni and Squid.
