Nice find matsickma! I like that picture of the Guild crew outside the shop. I wonder when that was taken.

It’s brief and cursory, but at least still acknowledging local lore. And ol’ Billy Boy Colwell (production engineer) makes an appearance—as do I in a blurred group photo. Thought some here might care to watch it HERE

I've been out West for eight years now. It's funny seeing my old news people from RI. I remember them when they were much younger. Decades ago. The last several years are showing! With me too.
I miss having the old working factory so close by. If you had a issue, or a question, you could just stop by. And youd often find factory employees doing side gigs setting up guitars etc. And since I was so close by my motto was; "Guild, stayed where it's made".

could see the museum/music venue/restaurant/guitar shop happening there at some point, with a small joint venture of a few LTG members upon retirement. you know who you are! and what to do!

Local News of Westerly Anniversary

While 'Anniversary' is most likely the correct word to use from a language point of view, I personally would not use that in this context and I would also think that a lot of the people who worked at the Westerly plant would agree with me (although I understand that the severance package was adequate).
While I can't really give you a better word I would suggest that we "commemorate" the closing of the Westerly plant and enjoy the instruments that came out of there.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust
