FS Little-Used, original 2001 Westerly Guild JF-55 jumbo acoustic w/Preamp and original case

This beautiful guitar was handpicked for me by Willie Fritscher in 2001 through my endorsement deal with Fender/Guild at the time. I picked it up personally from the Westerly factory from Willie. It is almost unused as I never toured with it and used it only for occasional recording. It is in excellent condition but has one 12mm x 3mm very shallow scuff (1/2" x 1/8"). The scuff did not penetrate the finish, nor is it a gouge. Other than that the guitar is pristine. There are very minor use marks here and there (after 23 years) but no damage or dings to the edging, abalone, or headstock.

The action and neck was set up by Steve Soest in Orange, CA, with the most recent check and tune-up done by him in 2015. String action at the 12th fret is 6/64ths (3.0 mm) on the low-E string. The guitar has never been damaged or left in heat. It has lived all its life in Southern California and 1 year in Arizona (inside a temperature-controlled music room). It plays and frets beautifully. The neck is straight and the headstock is perfect, though the tuning pegs are tarnished and not in pristine condition. The 20 or so years since it was made has endowed the guitar with a mellow, warm, ringy tone, typical of the jumbo Guilds.

This JF-55 came equipped from the Westerly factory with a Fishman AGP-2 preamp and transducer (powered by an onboard 9V battery located near the soundhole). Everything works perfectly. The guitar was never modified, and the factory installed the heel strap button for me when I picked it up. It has no other modifications and is completely stock. I am including its original Guild hard-shell deluxe case (burgundy interior) which is in used but very good condition with all latches working and no damage to the handle or interior. The inside has a single compartment storage area.

I'm selling it because I simply don't play it anymore. It's a massive crime to not play a guitar- especially one as grand, beautiful, and with a legacy such as this. This guitar is ready to play today without modification and looks almost new. The serial number is AJ550973. I am the original owner and I truly am sad to sell it, but it needs to be played. I am pricing it at $2700 and I will ship it for an additional $200 depending on where it is going. Shipping will be priced only to actual costs- no markup. If it's less, I'll charge you less.
