Hi All

I've been offered a Guild D25M left handed made in 78
Would be really interested in any comments on this model of Guild.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Lots of folks here have D-25s... they are kind of a "cult" guitar. Mine is from '74. The laminated mahogany arched back gives it a very unique sound, characterized by a deep, growling bass and incredible sustain and projection.

What're they asking for it? IMO, anything less than ~$600 is a good deal, and less than ~$500 is a steal, if it is in good shape (decent action w saddle left, no cracks, reasonable cosmetics).

I'll have to echo Gardman's sentiments about D25s. I'm always looking for another 'companion' for my '79 dark-stained spruce version (a real beauty). Great sound, feel, etc.
*I was trying really hard to add a little humor about how the sound might be affected coming out left-handed....but I need more coffee!
Stay tuned.

Pick one for me,
Joe

I had an 81 D-25 it was a nice guitar- good sound well build- the D-25 has it's own dreadnought sound with the size of it's body and arched back. The reason I sold my D-25 was the size was too big for me to be comfortable with- the f-30 and f-20 suit me better, actually I have an 83' f-20 with an arched back that reminds me of a mini d-25........cool

My '79 D25M (dark-stained spruce) never fails to impress me. It and my D50 are my two boomers, and do they ever!

wmc.....I bet if you search "D25" on this forum you will come up with 100's of positive comments and satified owners. I love mine, spruce top, arched hog back. Can't go wrong.

Yeah, what they all said. Snatch it up if the price is right.

Tried to get the DM25 but it went for too high a price, just over £ 700
if anyone comes across a left handed Guild acoustic please let me know.

Thanks again for all your input
