Hey Dread good stuff! With all due respect the vid FNG posted I like mo better. Paul Gilbert is a monster on the mandolin. It was exactly that sound that hooked me to Loggins & Messina in the mid 70's. Jim Messina plays a mean mandolin as well, IMHO, one of the most under-rated musicians of all time. This is second to none: "Be Free" with Jon Clarke (RIP) and Lester Garth on the winds. Jimmy comes in at about 3:25. I don't remember who stepped in on the fiddle. Enjoy. http://youtu.be/_KDHgLZI-HI
Dread-I can't follow myself sometimes, I often open mouth and insert foot. I must of read it 10 times before posting and didn't catch it. I don't know why I typed Paul Gilbert. However, I did enjoy it much more than the the first by you as it highlighted JPJ on the mandolin.
Zep always played the coolest acoustic music. Pages electric playing, to me, was kinda choppy sounding but his acoustic playing was always so smooth and melodic.
