AFAIK, the tops on D-25 are solid, either mahogany (pre-73 and late models) or spruce (from '73ish til sometime in the '90s or '00s). The only Guilds w laminated tops I have ever heard of are some of the archtops. On the other hand... The arched backs of D-25s from '73 on are laminated.

I believe most if not all arched backs are laminated. D25, D30, JF30, JF65, etc. all have laminated backs with no back bracing.

How about the D15? Was the mahogany top on these solid or laminated?

D15's were definitely solid mahogany tops... my '85 seems to be built very similarly to an early D25.

I think ALL arched back models had laminated backs.

I really want to talk to Hans about my F-50. I really looks to be a solid archback. See previous discussion on the issue.
