Looks like it will fit my current needs. I wanted to know if anyone has played or heard about one. Thanks

Randal,

The closest I got was to play its small bodied counterpart, I believe the model number is GAD30 PCE. I liked it very much. They had a GAD50 PCE in there as well, did not play it.
But the padouk back and sides of this little puppy had a nice warm tone to it. I would imagine the GAD50 PCE would be a bit louder, more bass, but have a sound similar to a D-40, or D-25. I love the look, and people have said that the padouk is similar to mahogany.

Chicago of course
I picked up a GAD50 a year ago and I am very happy with it. The rosewood back and sides really punch out the sound...crisp and tight. It's loud--you really have to control your attack. The construction is superb. A great value.

I got a GAD-40P a few weeks ago and I am very impressed with the padauk (back & sides) wood's properties: hard as rock, sweet & crisp like mahogany, offers ridiculous volume for a concert-sized acoustic.

Hi, I picked up a Guild GAD 50 PCE for my daughters Boyfreind this Christmas. He loves it. The action was so low and with the humidity or lack thereof here in Ohio, I had to give the truss rod 1/4 turn back wards. The guitar sounds great uplugged or plugged in. We did an open mike gig at a restaurant this winter (our first of many we hope) and the GAD 50 PCE performed great. Sorry to say I had the D-1 Martin at the time. I've got a '95 D-4 now and haven't even got the plastic off the pick guard on a GAD25NT. I guess we're Guild nuts right now. Oh, did I mention the D412? Try it, you'll like it. Limmy
