LOL . . . that little bitty amp is going to drive four manly speakers?

This is for your dreamy, ambient-mood acoustic tunes, right?

One of those Marlboro pack amps can drive a 4x12.

I love a 4x12, but my back wouldn't.

You know it's working right when your pantlegs blow around when you hit a chunky chord, if you're wearing pants, it is pretty hot...

My old back hurts just looking at that.

My days of non-neo magnets are long gone I'm afraid, and honestly, why use anything else? Recently got a killer deal on a used Bergantino 4x10 cab. It's absolutely thunderous for my bigger gigs, and weighs just 60 pounds. That's still manageable for me, especially with casters. I have a pair of 1x12 Fender rumble 112s for modular use too, and they're only 24 pounds apiece. Very geezer friendly!

It's not the size - it's how you use it - must've heard that somewhere sometimes.

Seriously this time

Those 4x12 cabinets are so sensitive, that they produce up to 20dB more output than your average home stereo speaker.

So 100dB @1W can easily be achieved.

The little amp pushes it the amp sounds good there’s a weird wah sound like to turned on a wah peddle without moving it .

what I can’t tell is if that’s amp or the speakers or both because of the load on it .

8 ohm cabinet is an 8 ohm cabinet regardless of it being a single-dual-quad-wtf - amount of speskers.

The more speakers to get to final total impedance - usually the more senstitive = more sound output @ same power.

BUT - since there's no free lunch in this world - the more cones you have - the more comb-filtering follows - and in order to NOT keep it simple - all this natural acoustic behaviour is frequency-dependent - thus moving the microphone or listening position creates different sound perception.

Add to that the floor - and room - reflections - . . . . . welcome to new territory of sound . . . 😂
