So, I got my JS-II today, I'm pretty sure the body is made of maple? All the descriptions say Mahogany but it doesn't look at all like the mahogany on the neck or my ebo.

Most other pictures they clearly look like bodies made of mahogany...anyone have any insight?

I also saw this http://cgi.ebay.com/Guild-S100-s100-1st ... 4156e43a9e

Looks like a refinish? My JS body looks the same with a nicer grain pattern, previously sunburst finish which can be seen in the pickup cavities, I'll try and post pictures later

Pictures?

Never heard of a maple JS but there is a lot Guild did that I never heard of.

For the record this site says mahogany with maple necks on some of the long scale basses.

Pop the control cavity and see what finish it left the factory with.

I'll post some pictures later, the glue is drying at the moment, hopefully tomorrow everything looks good still.

I think I got it on alright, alot harder to get in place with the glue.
