I had this album, and I love to play and sing this song!

Dread - I too always liked this song. I never saw this before but I am please to see that I taught it to myself and seem to have matched things quite well (other than adding a capo'ed position). I learned two important things with that progression - 1) I preferred the tones of a rosewood body guitar, and 2) I did not feel a Taylor guitar sounded "right" for my tastes.

A big favourite of mine as well, both to listen to the various Steve Winwood and Traffic versions and to play myself

Winwood was a big favourite of mine starting back with Spenser Davis and still is. I totally love that version of John Barleycorn.

There is a companion piece of sorts, an acoustic version of Can't Find My Way Home which I like much better than the Blind Faith version and I do like the BF version a lot:



I like the fireplace percussion, too.
