Not sure musical interest passes down through kids, but if it did, she's got it made compared to dad, who according to legend had to borrow his first guitar from a neighbor and then never gave it back.

To be fair Barrett didn't have much use for guitars for a while.
There’s a documentary about him coming out. Apparently it’s possible that some of the worst stories are overstated and he just didn’t want to deal with show biz any more.

Don't know about the "worst" stories, but in '75 he was so transformed Floyd didn't even recognize him when he showed by surprise at the studio:

Is it possible to overstate shaved eyebrows? I've heard similar stories though, that he wasn't quite as bad off as some claimed. Undoubtedly he was incapable of functioning in the band at the time . And Gilmore used to make sure he received his royalty payments as he wasn't collecting 'em on his own.

Admittedly I was going for low fruit on the humor tree, no disrespect meant to Syd. Peter Green suffered very similar issues.
