I've had this blond Epiphone Sheriton for a few years now, and just got it back from the luthier after having some old Gibson pickups put in her....and its not so much different from a real Gibson 335 now except that maybe its a little better built. (Craigslist for the pickups, $50 each :D )  Seriously nice range of tones. Quite the difference good pickups make, I'm no expert here but it is quite a step up and less than 1/3 the cost of a new 335....now I can almost imagine its a Starfire.... :D Steffan

Congratulations Steffan... those are really nice guitars. I love the necks on Sheratons and the finish work is 1st class. The new pups should make quite a nice difference too and when you get them for 1/2 price... fantastic! :D

Its a gorgeous guitar Joe, I sold my DeArmond 135, and kept this, decided I liked the thinner body, at this point, and its got tone to spare. I also have an old peavey USA made predator with SD rails at the bridge, 5 way switch, and I think it sounds, and looks just like a strat. for the couple of hundred bucks I bought if for several years ago, I guess its a keeper too. Seems like you can get some decent guitars for reasonable prices if you aren't too hung up on the 'label'........then there are Guilds  ....by the way you'll be happy to know the DeA. went to a guy a little younger the either of us, but is studying 'swing',pretty cool eh? Those are great guitars, Steffan.
An Epi Sheraton was the first electric I bought.
Mine was a sunburst.
Bought it used, but it had first class fit and finish. Top shelf all the way.

I replaced the Epi pups with Seymore Duncan SH-59's and liked it very much.

I played that every week at church for a couple of years. Lots of different tones in there.
Then I found my Bluesbird and retired and sold the Sheraton.
I liked the wider neck on the Bluesbird 'cause it was not such a drastic difference from my acoustic necks.

But the Sheratons are great guitars. Silly to pay more for an ES 335.
I really liked that guitar. It was beautiful.
First class inlay work.
Sometimes I regret selling it, but it would not be getting much play time.
