Hello,

I'm new here and want to introduce myself. I am Arjan and i live in the Netherlands. I recently bought a brand new, guild x500t. This seemed the right place to share thoughts and ideas about Guilds.

Any x500t owners here?

Hello Arjan,

Welcome! Yes, there are a few X-500T owners on this board.
There are probably more people here who are looking for one than people who actually own one!

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Welcome!

I am still waiting for mine, which is somewhere in the world in the safe care of the US Postal Service...

Welcome. The guitar is a beauty and the combination of the P90s through that Victoria is tone heaven.

Hi Arjan,

BTW: What model is that Victoria amp? Looking to buy a new one myself to complement that new Guild.

Thanks for the warm welcome! :D

The victoria is a Golden melody. I can recommend that one to everyone who is into the oldschool stuff. It's more or less a tweed bassman cirquit with added reverb (super reverb) and the bias tremolo of the brownface concert. With 2 12's. Mark Baier calls it the Fender that never was... The ultimate mix. You can either use a ax7 or a at7 as a Phase inverter. So you can tweak the piont of break up a little. I use it now with a at7 and it's a clean machine! Loud and clear but never harsh.

I've owned a few amps already including 67 super reverb and some tweed clones made by Peter van Weelden but this one i find perfect for me.

Very nice....you play it with style too.....I think Kildeer is working on a Guild Bib, that several of us need to keep from drooling on our Guilds, I think you might be in that category.  Steffan

Welcome Arjan,
Now that's a nice setup you have there. That Victoria is one fine amp. It wouldn't suprize me if you had more guilders tied up in the amp than the guitar. Try a Tophat Club Deluxe if you get a chance. That X-500t will sound great through all of them.
