It is Tx.

Funny thing, I still have the box you shipped it in. So, Brad...you'll have provenance of it's owners/travels since new via the shipping labels.

Heck that should be worth another $1,000.....o_O

My Doyle Dykes Guild 12-string has the sound hole binding as well.

Interesting. I've had or played many high end guitars, including some luthier or small shop models (my Pawless, for example), and don't recall ever seeing a bound soundhole. I do have bound f-holes on my AA, but not the X-170. FWIW, I'm the impending owner, can't wait, should be a nice upside to self-quarantining.
Oooo you bought it ? Going on my own anal evaluation scale I'd say you'd like this pup very much then again I am in my own special world.😁

I'm also not observant. I've had a few Orphs and never noticed the bound soundhole.. The only one I had left was the Orph. Jumbo Mahogany. I'll have to check and see if that is bound as well.

I did just pick up (just arrived about an hour ago) a 2014 NOS Orpheum Rosewood Dread.. It does have the bound soundhole. Thanks for pointing that out. I likely would have proceeded thru life clueless about that.

Will there be pixs of your new Orph Rosewood Dread? Do you expect a noticable sound difference between it and say a D55?

....That little 12 fret hog is one sweet guitar and was my Favorite for fingerpicking....vintage "V" shaped neck profile and a pointed neck heel.
TX
Yeah, I'm planning on it being my go to for fingerpicking. Also noticed the un-Guild like neck heel in the pics BeeCee sent me, but not the "v" neck. Should be an interesting addition to my guitars.

I had to re-arrange my music room today to make room for some of the new arrivals. I took the opportunity to play some of my nicer guitars that I really don't play very often or at least as much as I should. No new news to anyone here but Guild surely did/does make some fine guitars. I spent quite a bit of time with my Oxnard F 55, my Oxnard D 40T Custom, My finesse and my two Orpheums. I did check out my Orph Jumbo and it also has the binding around the soundhole. I guess it shouldn't surprise me, I just never noticed it before.

My Gibson SJ100 1941 reissue also have a soundhole bound. I think it was made to protect soundhole' Wood to picking hard.

I had a Ryan Mission years ago (that I stupidly sold) that had a bound sound hole. Can't remember having another guitar with one since. Def a nice touch.
