More serious : this is really a fantastic guitar. The korean guitars are great but this instrument is really in another " league". You can already feel that just by picking it up and holding it in your hands. Neck is a little narrower at the nut than the korean guitars but this is not a problem for me.

If I may have some point of critism : some of the fret ends are maybe not the cleanest I have ever seen but this is really a detail of a detail and does not effect playability at all.
The frets are certainly not jumbo but low ( not "fretless wonder" low but more like my epiphone sheraton) ) but I like them a lot. No fretbuzz and action is low.
Mind you the guitar is quite heavy. Not like a les paul of course but substantially heavier than my korean x 175 or my eastman hollow body. Part of this may have to do with block below he bridge that connects the front and back of the guitar.
The gold plated parts are still shining like new and the overall appereance of the guitar is just sublime in my eyes.
She is now in my favourite guitar shop in Antwerp -the guitar bar- for some small adaptations : swapping bridge to bridge for roundwounds with plain g and installation of straplocks so I can remove the strap easily before putting her back in the case.
I'll give a final update and some opinions about the sound when she will be finally home.

Well major update : sheΒ΄s finally home since yesterday and does not dissapoint ! Neck plays very light. Bending is effortless. Tone is perfect for the blues I (try to) play. Sounds beautiful through my kemper on a "crancked bassman" patch from TAF.

Sits perfectly in my lap. With a good padded strap she hangs perfectly balanced and although it is certainly not a light guitar it still feels very manageable.

Maybe my level of playing does not "allow" a guitar of this quality but I have decided not to care about that.

I am very happy with my purchase ! It could not have turned out better than it did now. Really "a dream come true" !

Man, I know you’re happy with that guitar!
Although I try to play some of everything, the majority of my playing time these days is traditional Chicago blues. My X-500 (1984) absolutely nails are that Louis Meyers tone; the HB-1’s have a special something that, adapts to any style of music.
Enjoy it in good health!
